The Journey Begins
Hi, I’m Paul, the voice behind TravelDad. My story as a traveler began at the age of 19, in the most unexpected way. I was working in the banking and finance industry in the UK when I was made redundant. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I seized the opportunity to explore the world. My first adventure led me to the vibrant and chaotic streets of India.
An Eye-Opening Experience - Arriving in India was a transformative experience. I was immediately struck by the sheer poverty, with people sleeping on the roads. Until that moment, I had been living in a bubble, believing that the world was mostly good. This eye-opening encounter made me profoundly grateful for everything I had in life and sparked a deeper desire to understand and appreciate the diverse realities of our world.
